Heroin seized; two held by Dibrugarh police

DIBRUGARH: Dibrugarh police apprehended two persons and seized 133 grams of suspected heroin at Boiragimoth area in Dibrugarh on Tuesday night. On the basis of secret information, Dibrugarh Police led by DSP (HQ) Achurya Jibon Baruah, TSI and IC, Gabharupathar conducted a raid in the premises of one John Ahmed at Boiragimoth under Gabharupathar out post of Dibrugarh and apprehended two persons with suspected drugs. Police seized 133 gram of suspected heroin along with 18 containers, 30 syringes, four mobile handsets and cash Rs 23,500. Meanwhile, Dibrugarh police have launched a massive operation against drugs. So far, many drug peddlers have been arrested from different areas of Dibrugarh town.
